The Rural Institution for Community Development (RICOD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1995 and registered in Lalitpur district, Nepal. It works with women, children, youth, minority groups, and people with special needs in the areas of health, education, food security, humanitarian response, and climate change.
RICOD has made strong community-level impacts by improving maternal and child health practices, strengthening nutrition, and supporting families to adopt better hygiene and food habits. It has also helped communities recover from disasters by rebuilding homes, improving water and sanitation systems, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
Through its programs, RICOD empowers communities, especially women, by enhancing skills, leadership, and income opportunities. It works closely with local governments and partners to ensure sustainable and inclusive development.
