The Rural Institution for Community Development (RICOD) is working with children, women and youth in the areas of primary health care, school education, food security, humanitarian emergency response and climate change since 1995 in Nepal. The organization is seeking for self-motivated and qualified FEMALE candidates for "Mutual Learning for Improving Health and Nutrition Scenario Project” funded by Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (NOREC).


Job title: Medical Professional (Doctor) -1 Level: 8 (Eight)

Desired Qualification: MBBS with Nepal Medical Council registration. Experience: At least six months

Major responsibility: The Medical Professional (Doctor) will be deputed in Bangladesh for 12 months. The major responsibility will be to work in a satellite and static clinic that is situated in the local community. This position will provide services for promotion of maternal and child health, nutrition and reproductive health. In addition, this position will also be responsible for routine program designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting.


Job title: Senior Public Health Officer -1 Level: 8 (Eight)

Desired Qualification: Masters in Public Health Experience: At least six months

Major responsibility: The Public Health Officer will be deputed in Bangladesh for 12 months. The major responsibilities will be to initiate a school health program including general health screening, awareness sessions to adolescents in nutrition, personal hygiene and reproductive health. This position has to play a vital role as a liaison person between the host and home organization. In addition, this position will be responsible for routine program designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting.


Applicable to both positions

Age limit: Between 25 to 35 years Passport: Holding Nepalese passport valid till December 2026

Position duration: 7 months (starting in September 2025, with the option to extend the contract until October 2026)

Required Skills: Leadership, interpersonal communications, problem solving, public speaking, analytical and strong writing skills. Language: Apart from Nepali and English, spoken Bengali will be preferred.


Preparatory training, contract issuance and job Station: In the beginning, the successful candidates will stay one month with home organization (RICOD) for training and preparation. Preparatory training will be organized in September 2025 in Kathmandu. After the training a probationary contract will be issued. Than, the successful candidates will be sent to Bangladesh for 12 months assignment to work with the host organization. After return from Bangladesh, the candidates will continue with RICOD for a month to share their learning and replicate in Nepal.


Host Organization: “Effort for Rural Advancement (ERA)” located in Mollikpur Sumanganj-3000, Syhlet division, north-east Bangladesh. The host organization will manage free accommodation. The candidate will bear all personal and food costs.


Salary, allowances and other benefits: For both positions, the gross monthly gross salary is NPR 1,32,000/-. Festival allowance, sick leave, and yearly leave are extra advantages. insurance and additional benefits in accordance with Social Security Funds regulation.
